If there is any potential perimeter anti-theft problem with your vehicle, ensure ALL remote entry transmitters are taken to the authorized dealer to aid in troubleshooting. Arming the system When armed, this system will respond if unauthorized entry is attempted. When unauthorized entry occurs, the system will flash the park/turn lamps and will sound the horn. The system is ready to arm whenever the key is removed from the ignition. Any of the following actions will prearm the alarm system: • Press the control on the remote entry transmitter. • Lock the doors with the key in the key cylinder. • Open the driver's door and press the power door lock control to lock all the doors, and then close the door. Note: The doors, liftgate and hood will arm individually, and if any of them are open, they must be closed in order to be armed. When you lock the vehicle using any of the methods above: • the park/turn lamps will flash once to indicate the hood, each door and the liftgate are closed. • the park/turn lamps will not flash if the hood, any door or the liftgate are open. Once all doors, hood and liftgate are closed, the park/turn lamps will flash to confirm the alarm will be set. When the vehicle is locked, the alarm is set after a 20-second arming period. When you press the control on the remote entry transmitter twice within three seconds, the horn will chirp once to confirm the doors, liftgate and hood are closed and locked, and the alarm is set. Disarming the system You can disarm the system by any of the following actions: control on your remote entry • Unlock the doors by pressing the transmitter. • Unlock the doors with a key. Turn the key full travel (toward the front of the vehicle) to ensure the alarm disarms. 68 CIMS #1090281 com_disarm-theft.fly-maz itdseq=94 CIMS #1035013 com_perim-alarm-title.ie itdseq=91 CIMS #1035015 com_perim-theft.fly itdseq=92 CIMS #1090280 com_arm-theft.fly-maz itdseq=93 PAGE: 68 OP: root EDIT SESSION: 1 DATE: JUNE 15 2005 at 16:24 JOB: @ibm2/ford_pdm/CLS_ford/GRP_own2002/JOB_j14/DIV_mpdiff DIFF-MARKED Review Copy -- (OLD=2006 Tribute fus Owners Guide (post-2002-fmt) 06.5 Tribute Champ (#26074) (May-02-2005 14:29:19)) (NEW=2006 Tribute fus Owners Guide (post-2002-fmt) 2006.5 Tribute CNE Review (#26074) (Jun-15-2005 16:18:13)) 2006 Tribute (j14), Owners Guide (post-2002-fmt) (own2002), Market: USA (fus)
