NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY® BATTERY DISCHARGE If the battery of the I-Key is discharged or  environmental conditions interfere with the I-Key operation, 6 will display on the gauge and the engine will need to be started according to the following procedure 6 1. Move the shift lever to the P (PARK) position. 2. Firmly apply the foot brake. 3.  Touch the ignition switch with the I-Key. A chime will sound. 4.
