Remote Trunk Release Remote Trunk Release Lockout Your trunk release is equipped with a lockout feature to help prevent unauthorized entry into the trunk when the vehicle is left unattended. The switch is located on the inside of the trunk lid, mounted to the trunk lid latch. The remote trunk release button is located on the driver's door. Push the remote release button to release the trunk lid. Make sure the remote trunk release lockout feature is not activated. The trunk will unlock when the remote trunk release button is pressed, the remote trunk release lockout is to OFF and To turn the lockout on, slide the switch all the way to the left, to ON. To turn the lockout off, slide the switch all the way to the right, to OFF. When the lockout is on, the remote trunk release button on the driver's door will not release the trunk lid. However, the trunk lid can still be opened with the key, but not with the remote lock control transmitter (if equipped). D the ignition is to ON, the shift lever is to PARK (P) or the parking brake is engaged and D the ignition is to OFF. 2-14
