2.10 Onboard Headers and Connectors Onboard headers and connectors are NOT jumpers. Do NOT place jumper caps over these headers and connectors. Placing jumper caps over the headers and connectors will cause permanent damage of the motherboard! Serial ATA2 Connectors (SATA2_2_3: see p.11, No. 13) (SATA2_4_5: see p.11, No. 14) SATA2_2 SATA2_4 SATA2_3 SATA2_5 These four Serial ATA2 (SATA2) connectors support SATA data cables for internal storage devices. The current SATA2 interface allows up to 3.0 Gb/s data transfer rate. Serial ATA3 Connectors (SATA3_0_1: see p.11, No. 12) SATA3_A3 (SATA3_A1_A2: see p.11, No. 11) (SATA3_A3_A4: see p.11, No. 10) SATA3_A1 SATA3_0 These six Serial ATA3 (SATA3) SATA3_A4 connectors support SATA data cables for internal storage devices. The current SATA3 SATA3_A2 interface allows up to 6.0 Gb/s data transfer rate. If the eSATA3 port on the rear I/O has been SATA3_1 connected, the internal SATA3_A4 will not function. Serial ATA (SATA) Data Cable (Optional) USB 2.0 Headers (9-pin USB_6_7) (see p.11, No. 20) (9-pin USB_8_9) (see p.11, No. 21) USB_PWR P-9 P+9 GND DUMMY 1 GND P+8 P-8 USB_PWR 32 Either end of the SATA data cable can be connected to the SATA / SATA2 / SATA3 hard disk or the SATA2 / SATA3 connector on this motherboard. Besides four default USB 2.0 ports on the I/O panel, there are two USB 2.0 headers on this motherboard. Each USB 2.0 header can support two USB 2.0 ports.
