Standard Disassembly Procedure This section tells you how to disassemble the system when you need to perform system service. CAUTION: Before you proceed, make sure you have turned off the system and all peripherals connected to it. Removing the Housing Cover 1. Place the system unit on a flat, steady surface. 2. Turn the housing back, and remove the screws as shown here. 3. Slide out the top cover. Removing the CD-ROM/CD-RW Drive 1. Disconnect the power cable, the ribbon cable and then the CD-in cable. 2. Remove the screws as shown here. 3. Slide out the CD-ROM drive. 46 Chapter 3
