Removing the CPU and CPU Fan 1. To remove the fan, first disconnect the fan cable from the main board. 2. Press the fan clasp to release the locks on both sides, then remove the fan. 3. Pull the latch out on one side gently and then remove the CPU from the socket carefully. 50 Chapter 3
