FEATURES 2.1.3 Intelligence • Fan Status Monitoring and Alarm: To prevent system overheat and system damage, the CPU, power supply, and system fans can be monitored for RPM and failure. All the fans are set for its normal RPM range and alarm thresholds. • Temperature Monitoring and Alert: To prevent system overheat and system damage, this motherboard supports processor thermal sensing and auto-protection. • Voltage Monitoring and Alert: System voltage levels are monitored to ensure stable current to critical motherboard components. Voltage specifications are more critical for future processors, so monitoring is necessary to ensure proper system configuration and management. • Remote Ring On (requires modem): This allows a computer to be turned on remotely through an internal or external modem. With this benefit on-hand, users can access any information from their computers from anywhere in the world. • Alert-on-LAN II (requires optional hardware component): Part of Wired for Management to enable IT staff to remotely respond to and resolve system trouble that decreases down time and lower total cost of ownership.
