Audiovox APS02BT2 Programming Guide - Page 2

To Program Additional Transmitters

Page 2 highlights

Although the most common use of the transmitter buttons are shown on the front page of this guide in bold face type, any button or button combination can be programmed into any receiver channel. Additionally, if both buttons are used and you require access to a 3rd channel or function, you would program a combination of buttons to control the 3rd function. i.e... you have programmed the large button for arm, and the small button for disarm. For channel 3, or optional function, you can program large and small buttons operated simultaneously. Also, if you do not program a transmitter button into channel 2 which is the separate unlock/disarm channel, then whatever button is programmed into channel 1 will serve as both arm & disarm, and if used, Lock & Unlock. PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS: NOTE: Because the system may be capable of sounding a siren, the vehicle horn, or both, where the siren chirp is referenced below, the siren may chirp, the horn may beep, or both devices may sound. NOTE: It is important to remember that during the programming mode, each individual step must be completed within 15 seconds of the previous step. If the 15 second time limit expires between steps, the unit will automatically exit the program mode. Any time the ignition key is turned off while in the program mode, the system will immediately exit program mode. Both 15 second expiration, and ignition turning off while in the program mode will be indicated by a long chirp from the siren & or horn. Non alarm models will flash the parking lights only to confirm the transmitter code has been learned and stored. TO PROGRAM ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTERS: 1. Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition key to the "on" position. 2. Press and release the valet push-button switch three times. 3. The dash LED will flash once, and the siren will "chirp" once, indicating the system is ready to accept programming for channel 1 or the arm/ disarm and panic functions. 4. You can assign any of the three transmitter button functions listed below to channel 1. a. Pressing button #1 on the keychain transmitter. b. Pressing button #2 on the keychain transmitter. c. Pressing both buttons simultaneously on the keychain transmitter. 5. Press and hold the selected choice a, b, or c above, until the siren emits a long "chirp" to confirm that programming of channel 1 was successful. 6. Press and release the valet push-button switch one time. 7. The dash mounted LED will flash 2 times, and the siren will "chirp" 2 128-6463 2 of 16
