Electrical connection Test the installation Place cooktop into cutout. Insert clamping screw into the bracket and secure cooktop to countertop. Use a wood block to protect fragile countertop materials. d CAUTION: Before installing, turn power OFF at the service panel. Lock sevice panel to prevent power from being turned ON accidentally. The branchĆcircuit breakers ampacity , the wire sizes and the connections must be conform to the requirements of the National Electrical Code or Canadian Elektrical Code and all local codes and ordinances. Connect only to a 3Ćwire, 120/240Ćvolt power supply; the neutral conductor is not required for the operation of the appliance. The potential at the power supply electrical connections shall be 150ĆvoltĆtoĆground or less. Attach flexible conduit to the junction box. d CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electic shock and fire, do not use a flexible powerĆsupply cord. Connect the cooktop lead wires to the junction box supply wires in proper phase: black (L1) to black red (L2) to red green wire to ground Remove everything from the cooktop surface. Clean cooktop surface with cooktop cleaning creme. Turn on power supply. Verify that elements function properly. 6
