Using the Digital Zoom Shooting Mode You can shoot zoomed images using the combined digital and optical zooms. The focal lengths (35mm film equivalent) and characteristics are as follows. Option On Off Focal Length 28 - 420 mm 28 - 105 mm Characteristics You can shoot at a maximum zoom factor of approximately 15x using a combination of the optical and digital zoom features. The digital zoom pauses at this zoom factor for a moment, and appears on the LCD monitor. If you press the zoom lever toward again, you can zoom in even closer. In this case, the displayed zoom factor changes from white to blue. zPressing the zoom lever toward reduces the zoom factor. 36
