Quick Access to Convenient Features Touch Keys You can control your handset without opening it by using the touch keys (Rewind Key , Play/Pause Key , Fast Forward Key ) around the front display. • G'zGEAR™: With your handset closed, tap the Rewind Key or Fast Forward Key while using a G'zGEAR™ tool to switch to another tool. For more information on G'zGEAR™, see page 112. • My Music: Use the touch keys while playing music with My Music to go to the next/previous song, rewind/fast forward a song, or start/ stop playback. For more information on My Music, see page 70. NOTES • Touch keys can be used only when the front display is active with the flip closed. When any application (such as G'zGEAR™ or music) is active and the front display is inactive, activate the front display by touching and holding any touch key or by pressing the Bottom Side Key. • Touch keys respond to light touch or tap. Using unnecessary force may damage the touch keys or front display. • If the handset is wet, touch keys may not function nor respond to your touch quickly. Use them when the handset is dry. • If you put the handset in your pocket or place it on a metallic material with the front of the handset facing down when the G'zGEAR™ or My Music functions are active, the touch keys may malfunction. To prevent the touch keys from malfunctioning, set the Keyguard Settings, see page 127. • Touch keys may not function correctly under some environments. 37
