How To Configure Call Home to Support the Smart Call Home Service Configuring Call Home DETAILED STEPS Step 1 Command or Action configure terminal Purpose Enters global configuration mode. Step 2 Example: Router# configure terminal call-home Enters call home configuration mode. Step 3 Example: Router(config)# call-home profile CiscoTAC-1 Step 4 Example: Router(config-call-home)# profile CiscoTAC-1 destination transport-method http Step 5 Example: Router(cfg-call-home-profile)# destination transport-method http active Enters call home destination profile configuration mode for the CiscoTAC-1 destination profile. (Required only if using HTTPS) Configures the message transport method for http. Enables the destination profile. Step 6 Example: Router(cfg-call-home-profile)# active exit Step 7 Example: Router(cfg-call-home-profile)# exit contact-email-addr email-address Step 8 Example: Router(cfg-call-home)# contact-email-addr [email protected] exit Step 9 Example: Router(cfg-call-home)# exit service call-home Exits call home destination profile configuration mode and returns to call home configuration mode. Assigns the customer's e-mail address. Enter up to 200 characters in e-mail address format with no spaces. Exits call home configuration mode and returns to global configuration mode.
