Cisco 10 Gigabit Modules Cisco offers a range of XENPAK, X2, XFP, and SFP+ modules for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GBE) deployments. These Cisco transceivers meet Cisco specifications and are compliant with industry standards. Cisco XENPAK, X2, XFP, and SFP+ offer a convenient and cost-effective solution for the adoption of 10 GBE in data center, campus, metropolitan area access, and ring networks. XENPAK modules are offered for several reaches and transmission media and are supported on the Catalyst 6500, 3750 Series switches, and CRS-1 routers today. X2 modules are also offered for several reaches and transmission media and are supported on the Catalyst 4500, 4900, and 6500 Series switches, and Nexus 7000 Series switches today. The Cisco XFP Module offers customers a dual rate interface for 10 GBE and Packet-over-SONET/SDH (POS) connectivity.
