Using the Web Configurator ADVANCED > Advanced Wireless The Advanced Wireless screen allows you to change the wireless settings of your infrastructure network, where all wireless signals are transferred through a wireless router or access point. Note that you should not change these settings unless instructed to do so by your network administrator. There are two advanced wireless settings that can be changed: Beacon Interval: This parameter affects the latency in sending unicast packets to power saving stations and broadcast/multicast packets in general. The default setting is 100, or ten beacons per second. To change this, type in a new value in this box. Preamble: The Preamble, which is located in every wireless data packet, is used to communicate to the receiver that data is on its way. Most wireless routers and access points are configured for a Long Preamble. The default setting in your Print Server is Long Preamble. To change this, click Short. Once you have completed the settings for each printer port, click Apply Settings to store the settings. To abort and exit, click Cancel. D-Link DPR-2000 - User Manual 59
