l Description: Provides the ideal setting for scanning color photographs or art or to work with items for image editing, desktop publishing, and high-quality output. Results in a slower scan time and a larger file size because of the 200 dpi resolution. l Custom (Scanner Glass): Use to scan any image. l Color Mode: Black & White, Grayscale, True Color l Resolution: Any user-defined dpi NOTE: After changing custom settings, the Save As... button is available. Click Save As.. and enter a name to save customized scan settings. The user defined name is displayed in the scan settings window. Selecting the Automatic Document Feeder The following options are available when you select the ADF as the scanner source. l ADF - Faster: Used to scan pages with many graphics, or mixed graphics and text, line art, or color photographs that require a quick scan. l Bit Depth: 24-bit (color) l Color Mode: True Color. l Resolution: 100dpi l Description: Provides the ideal setting for scanning color photographs or art or to work with items for image editing, desktop publishing, and high-quality output. Results in a reasonable scanned color image in a file that is not too large. l ADF - Better: Used to scan pages with many graphics, or mixed graphics and text, line art, or color photographs. l Bit Depth: 24 Bit. l Color Mode: True Color. l Resolution: 300dpi l Description: Provides the ideal setting for scanning color photographs or art or to work with items for image editing, desktop publishing, and high-quality output. Results in a slower scan time and a larger file size because of the 300 dpi resolution. l ADF - Gray: Used to scan pages with many graphics, or mixed graphics and text, line art, or color photographs. l Bit Depth: 8 Bit. l Color Mode: True Color. l Resolution: 300dpi l Description: Provides the ideal setting for scanning Gray photographs or to work with items for image editing, desktop publishing. Results in a scanned gray image in a file that is not too large. l Custom (ADF): Use to scan any image l Color Mode: Black & White, Grayscale, True Color l Resolution: Any user-defined dpi NOTE: After changing custom settings, the Save As... button is available.
