Procedure 1 Clean the grease from the bottom of the cooling assembly and reapply it. 2 Align the screw holes on the cooling assembly with the screw holes on the system board. 3 In sequential order (indicated on the heat-sink), replace the screws that secure the cooling assembly to the system board Postrequisites 1 Follow the instructions from step 3 to step 10 in "Replacing the System Board" on page 43. 2 Replace the palm-rest. See "Replacing the Palm-Rest" on page 33. 3 Replace the keyboard. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 19. 4 Replace the base cover.
