spanning-tree cost The spanning-tree cost Interface Configuration mode command configures the spanning-tree path cost for a port. Use the no form of this command to reset the default port path cost. Syntax • spanning-tree cost cost • no spanning-tree cost • cost - The port path cost. (Range: 1 - 200,000,000) Default Configuration For the default short pathcost method, the cost values are: port channel - 4; 1000 mbps - 4; 100 mbps 19; 10 mbps - 100. Command Modes Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode. User Guidelines • The method used (long or short) is set by using the spanning-tree pathcost method command. Example The following example configures the spanning-tree cost on g5 to 35000. Console(config)# interface ethernet g5 Console(config-if)# spanning-tree cost 35000 spanning-tree port-priority The spanning-tree port-priority Interface Configuration mode command configures port priority. Use the no form of this command to reset the default port priority. Syntax • spanning-tree port-priority priority • no spanning-tree port-priority • priority - The port priority.
