Follow the instructions in Before Working on Your Computer. 2. Close the display and turn the computer over. 3. Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see Removing the Bottom of the Base Assembly). 4. Remove the three M2.5 x 5-mm screws that secure the fan to the internal framework of the computer. 5. Disconnect the fan connector from the system board. 6. Lift the fan up at an angle to remove it. 1 M2.5 x 5-mm screws (3) 2 fan 3 fan connector Replacing the Fan CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer. Insert the fan into the fan cavity and align the screw holes in the fan with the screw holes in the base assembly. 2. Install the three M2.5 x 5-mm screws to secure the fan. 3. Connect the fan connector to the system board connector. 4. Replace the bottom of the base assembly (see Replacing the Bottom of the Base Assembly). 5.
