NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer). NOTICE: To help prevent damage to the system board, you must remove the battery from the battery bay before you begin working inside the computer. Removing the Coin-Cell Battery 1. Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9. 2. Remove the system board (see Removing the System Board). 3. Turn the system board over. 4. Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the system board connector. 5. Remove the coin-cell battery out of the mylar sleeve. 1 coin-cell battery 2 coin-cell battery cable connector Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery 1. Replace the coin cell battery in the mylar sleeve. 2. Connect the coin-cell battery cable to the system board connector. 3. Follow the instructions in Replacing the System Board. 4. Removing the Coin-Cell Battery
1.
Follow the instructions in
"Before You Begin" on page 9
.
2.
Remove the system board (see
Removing the System Board
).
3.
Turn the system board over.
4.
Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the system board connector.
5.
Remove the coin-cell battery out of the mylar sleeve.
Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery
1.
Replace the coin cell battery in the mylar sleeve.
2.
Connect the coin-cell battery cable to the system board connector.
3.
Follow the instructions in
Replacing the System Board
.
4.
Slide the main battery into the battery bay, until it clicks into place.
