Adjusting the Tear-off Position, TEAR OFF, MULTI-PART, FORM FEED, LINE FEED

Adjusting the Tear-off Position If the paper's perforation does not meet the tear-off edge, you can adjust the tear-off position using the micro-adjustment feature. 1. Make sure the printer feeds the paper to the tear-off position after printing the document. The TEAR OFF light should be on and the MULTI-PART light should begin blinking, indicating that you can now use the micro-adjustment feature to make fine adjustments to the tear-off position. 2. To make fine adjustments to the tear-off position, press the FORM FEED button to feed the paper backward or the LINE FEED button to feed it forward. You can now tear off your document from the perforation and resume printing. The printer remembers this new tear-off position even after the printer is turned off and on again. 3-20 Using the Printer
