Data Dump Mode 3. Run any program. Your printer prints out all the codes sent to the printer in hexadecimal format as shown below. On the right side, printable ASCII characters are printed normally, but non-printable control codes (00 to 1F hex) are portrayed by dots. 4. To cancel the data dump mode, press the ON LINE button to set the printer off line. Then turn off the printer. By comparing the characters printed in the text field on the right side of the data dump printout (see Step 3) with the printout of hex codes, you can check which codes are being sent to the printer.
