WATER TEMPERATURE Cortex will also display a networked water temperature source right on the Man Overboard Situation Screen. UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY Universal compatibility means smartAIS Man Overboard devices receive signals from any AIS equiped Man Overboard beacon and will network with any NMEA 2000 MFD to display an MOB position. LIVE MOB POSITION Receive and alarm the instant somebody goes over the side and activates their AIS Man Overboard Device. The Man Overboard (MOB) Alarm clearly identifies the MOB on your Cortex or XB-8000 smartAIS display. It clearly shows their location, bearing and range of the person for quick retrieval. It provides continuous updates of position, bearing and range as new information is received. MOB ICONS AUTOMATIC MOB AIS MANUAL ACTIVATION MOB EXAMPLE MFD ICON (VARIES) MAKE A MOB DSC CALL During a Man Overboard situation, the situation screen features an 'MOB DSC CALL' button that will broadcast a DSC Call once pressed to all nearby stations as a Securite (Safety) Message. This makes it quick and easy to declare your situation and allow you to return to the task of finding and retrieving your crew. NETWORKED DEVICES Pressing the dedicated MOB button activates a track back mode on all handsets and marks the MOB on NMEA 2000 connected MFDs. 21
