Using FM TMC Traffic Using FM TMC Traffic Note: Garmin is not responsible for the accuracy of the traffic information. Your nüvi can receive FM TMC (Traffic Message Channel) traffic or MSN® Direct traffic content, depending upon the traffic receiver connected to your nüvi. Your nüvi displays both types of traffic content in the same manner. For information about traffic receivers and coverage areas, go to www.garmin.com/traffic. Understanding FM TMC Traffic The FM Traffic Message Channel (TMC) traffic receiver, which is integrated in the vehicle power cable, is included in some nüvi packages and is an optional accessory for all series models. See page iv for a list of which packages include traffic receivers. Mini-USB connector Internal antenna Power LED External antenna connector Vehicle power adapter You do not need to activate the subscription included with your FM traffic receiver. The subscription activates automatically after your nüvi acquires satellite signals while receiving traffic signals from the pay service provider.
