Understanding MSN® Direct Traffic The MSN Direct receiver is an optional accessory for all nüvi 1200, 1300, and 1400 series models. MSN Direct receivers receive MSN Direct content, including traffic information. For information about activating MSN Direct service or using MSN Direct, refer to the MSN Direct Owner's Manual Supplement at www.garmin.com. Adding or Renewing Traffic Subscriptions To add or renew a traffic subscription, touch Tools > Settings > Traffic. For more information, see page 43 and go to www.garmin .com/fmtraffic. Using FM Traffic Receiving Traffic Information To receive traffic information, the following conditions must be met: • The traffic receiver must be connected to the nüvi. • The traffic receiver and nüvi must be connected to an external power source. • The traffic receiver and nüvi must be in data range of an FM station transmitting traffic information.
