AF Mode (Auto-Focus mode) Use this setting to control the auto-focus mechanism while taking pictures. AF-assist Beam This option can turn on or turn off AF assist lamp. The AF assist lamp assists the camera in focusing correctly in low light conditions. It is not recommended that this be turned off or the camera may not focus correctly. Two options are available: • Single-AF: The focus frame appears on the center of the LCD screen to focus on the subject. • Multi-AF: The camera uses multiple parts of the picture to correctly focus. 43

AF Mode (Auto-Focus mode)
Use this setting to control the auto-focus mechanism while
taking pictures.
Two options are available:
Single-AF
: The focus frame appears on the center of the
LCD screen to focus on the subject.
Multi-AF
: The camera uses multiple parts of the picture
to correctly focus.
AF-assist Beam
This option can turn on or turn off AF assist lamp. The AF assist
lamp assists the camera in focusing correctly in low light
conditions.
It is not recommended that this be turned off or
the camera may not focus correctly.
