The lid lock prevents anyone (especially children) from reaching into the washer while the basket is spinning. The lid lock will be release within 5 seconds after the basket stop spinning. Trying to open the lid while locked could result in injuries. If the lid does not unlock after spinning, please contact service. NOTE: If there is a power outage the lid lock can take 3 minutes to release.
