CIM Namespaces CIM namespaces are logical groupings of CIM classes and CIM instances that represent managed objects in a particular environment. When making requests of a CIM Server, a client application must include the namespace that contains those classes. The namespace is case insensitive. Table 5 CIM Server Supported Namespaces Namespace root/PG_Interop root/tpd Purpose This is the Interop Namespace as defined in SMI-S. The Interop Namespace is used to find Registered Profiles and other CIM classes related to the SMI-S Server Profile. The root/tpd namespace (ThreeParData) is used to uniquely identify CIM Servers and provides management of all classes related to managing the storage system. 14 Configuring and Using the CIM Server
