Pre-Migration Constraints • The source system in a Peer Motion operation should run HP 3PAR OS 2.3.1, 3.1.1, or 3.1.2. The destination system must run HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1 or 3.1.2. That system can be an F-, a T-, or a V-class. E-class and S-class systems can only be source systems, because they cannot run HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1 or 3.1.2. • Remote Copy groups and their synchronization tasks that exist on the source system are not created by Peer Motion on the destination system; this has to be done manually. • Only point (also known as Fabric) connections between the destination and the source systems are supported. Direct Fibre Channel (FC) connections are not supported. iSCSI is also not supported to interconnect the systems. The speeds of the FC ports do not need to be the same. 10 Preparing for Data Migration
