The HP StorageWorks SN6000 Stackable 8-Gb Fibre Channel Switch is designed to make Enterprise SANs affordable and easy to use, especially as the network expands. Each SN6000 Fibre Channel Switch features the following: • 8 to 20 device ports supporting 8/4/2 Gb/s speeds (activated in license-keyed increments of four ports each for the 12-port model). • 4 high-speed 10/20 Gb/s stacking ports for linking SN6000 Fibre Channel Switches • Included SSCM software enables network management and storage provisioning from a single screen • Transparent Router functionality that provides seamless, non-disruptive access to servers and storage on HP B-series and HP C-series SANs You can begin with 8 device ports for an affordable solution, and then add new 4-port upgrades or 24 port switches for up to 120 usable device ports per stack (single manageable unit), or 500+ ports in multi-stack topologies. Included 10-Gb/s stacking ports can be upgraded to 20-Gb/s speed at any time, extending the solution lifespan while preserving current investments. The HP StorageWorks 8/20q Fibre Channel Switch is an 8-Gb switch featuring 8 to 20 ports that are activated in license-keyed increments of four ports each.
