Using Windows Add or Remove Programs, remove the HP Storage Server ManageWorkaround ment Service. Run the Service Release installation again and install the HP Storage Server Management console component. Issue: A mapped drive with a disconnected network path might hang the HP Service release Wizard Description If you have a mapped drive assigned to a network path that is disconnected, it might hang the HP Service Release wizard during the installation process. Workaround • Provide the complete network path URL as the path. or • Reconnect the network path for the mapped drive in Windows Explorer. Issue: Old components under C:\hpnas\components are not deleted Description Service Release does not delete old components while copying the latest components Workaround Following folders can be deleted if present after installing all the latest components • C:\hpnas\Components\HP-UDP4_1-PCL5-x64 • C:\hpnas\Components\HP-UDP4_1-PCL6-x64 • C:\hpnas\Components\HP-UDP4_1-PS-x64 • C:\hpnas\Components\HP-UDP4_1-PCL5-32 • C:\hpnas\Components\HP-UDP4_1-PCL6-32 • C:\hpnas\Components\HP-UDP4_1-PS-32 • C:\hpnas\Components\JRE\JRE-6U5-WINDOWS-I586-P.EXE Issue: While installing default components the system may reboot automatically with an error message from Service Release Wizard. Description During installation of components, "Are you sure you want to cancel Service Release installation?" message may pop up. Workaround Restart the server and start the installation of components again Issue: Installation may hang at the Installation Confirmation page Description Installation progress bar may hang at 99% completion at the Installation Confirmation page. Workaround Reboot the server and start the installation again. Issue: After giving the location of path of Service Release folder may give an error Description At the Service Release Updater settings page, after providing the location of Service Release folder, the wizard may display an error message "HP Storage System Updates not found at requested location.
