Issue: Installation of the security patch KB939778 may fail on some platforms. Description The security patch KB939778 may fail to install on some HP StorageWorks All-inOne Storage System and HP ProLiant Storage Server x86 platforms if Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 (Subsystem for UNIX based applications) is not installed. If this patch fails to install, then the patch is not applicable on the system. Issue: Installation log may not open Description The installation log may not open when the Install Log button is clicked. Workaround To view the install log, go to C:\Program Files\HP\HP Service Release\ Server\Reports and open the corresponding xml file, which will have the format srReport-yyyymmdd-hhmmss.xmlwhere yyyy/mm/dd and hh:mm:ss are the date and time of installation respectively. Issue: Software initiator is not updated when upgrading from some platforms Description The latest software initiator is not updated when upgrading from PSS7.0 versions of HP ProLiant Storage Servers. Workaround Manually download and install the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/storage/iscsi/default.mspx Issue: Automated Storage Manager attempts to install on Enterprise versions of HP ProLiant Storage Servers with the PSS7.0 image. Description The Service Release attempts to install ASM on Enterprise versions of HP ProLiant Storage Servers with the PSS7.0 image and displays an error message in the installation report. ASM is not compatible with Enterprise OS versions, and will therefore fail. Workaround This error can be safely ignored. HP Service Release Wizard Issue: HP Service Release Client and Server fails to repair itself Description The repair option does not complete at times for the HP Service Release Client or the HP Service Release Server. 1. Unistall the HP Service Release Server/Client. Workaround 2. Run the HP Service Release setup.exe. Issue: HP NAS Updater or AiO Updater installed in previous Service Releases cannot be used to install this Service Release 8

Workaround
