Lights-Out Edition (RILOE), Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition II (RILOE II) and Integrated Lights-Out options that have firmware that can be updated. It is important to update the firmware (also called "flashing the ROM") as part of regular server maintenance. In addition, checking for specific firmware updates in between regular updates helps to keep the server performing optimally. HP recommends checking for a firmware update before sending a part back to HP for replacement. Certificate of Authenticity The Certificate of Authenticity (COA) label is used to: • Upgrade the factory-installed operating system using the Microsoft Upgrade program for license validation. • Reinstall the operating system because of a failure that has permanently disabled it. The COA label location varies by server model. On rack-mounted server models, the COA label is located either on the front section of the right panel or on the right front corner of the top panel. On tower models, the COA label is located toward the rear of the top panel of the server. HP ProLiant Storage Server 149
