IP address An Internet Protocol (IP) address is assigned to the server. If it is not automatically assigned, enter the IP address that you want to assign to this server. Subnet mask A mask is used to determine what subnet an IP address belongs to. Default gateway The gateway in a network that the network adapter will use to access all other networks.
