Overview
Use these instructions to install a DVD-ROM drive into an HP
ProLiant DL760 Generation 2 server.
Warnings and Cautions
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool before
touching them.
CAUTION:
Properly ground yourself before beginning any
installation procedure. Electrostatic discharge can damage
electronic components.
Tools Needed
Torx T-15 screwdriver
Installing the DVD-ROM Drive
1.
Remove the media module from the server.
a.
Power down the server. Refer to the
HP ProLiant DL760
Generation 2 Maintenance and Service Guide
for detailed
instructions.
b.
Push in the sides of the cam levers on the media module (1)
and rotate the top of the levers downward (2). Slide the
media module forward (3).
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool before
touching them.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the
equipment, disconnect power from the server by unplugging all
power cords from the server.
