Charging the keyboard base battery The keyboard base has an internal, rechargeable battery. When the keyboard base battery light is blinking amber, there is less than 10% battery charge remaining in the keyboard base. To charge the keyboard base battery: 1. Connect the tablet to AC power. 2. Connect the keyboard base to the tablet. The battery light turns off when the keyboard base is completely charged. Folding the keyboard base as a cover The keyboard base can fold into a cover to protect the entire tablet display. Using the keyboard base keys The keyboard base allows you to type, select items, scroll and to perform the same functions as you do using touch gestures. You can quickly access information or perform functions by using certain keys and key combinations. TIP: The Windows key on the keyboard base allows you to quickly return to the Start screen from an open app or the Windows desktop. Pressing the Windows key again will return you to the previous screen.
