For more information about deploying firmware on ProLiant servers, see the HP Service Pack for ProLiant User Guide on the HP SPP website at http://www.hp.com/go/spp. Deploying Integrity firmware bundles with HP SUM You can use HP SUM to deploy components delivered with the Integrity Server Bundles, or use HP SUM to pull updates from the web. Deploying firmware to the Integrity servers is done remotely and is the same as deploying other firmware, such as OA, with the following exceptions: • You should specify the IP address of the Monarch (primary) OA on Superdome 2 enclosures, or the Monarch iLO 3 MP on multi-blade servers. • On the Select Components screen, click Configure Now, and then select whether you want to Upload and Activate or Upload but Do Not Activate. The Upload and Activate option automatically powers down and reboots the server after the update finishes, which activates the firmware. If you select the Upload but Do Not Activate option, the server does not automatically reboot, so you must either manually reboot or wait for the next regularly-scheduled maintenance reboot for the firmware to be activated. By default, SUM selects Upload but Do Not Activate. Deploying Integrity firmware bundles with HP SUM
You can use HP SUM to deploy components delivered with the Integrity Server Bundles, or use HP
SUM to pull updates from the web.
Deploying firmware to the Integrity servers is done remotely and is the same as deploying other
