Assigned or unassigned blades and I/O bays Each blade in a server complex is either assigned to one of the nPartitions in the complex, or unassigned. If a blade or an I/O bay is unassigned, it is not used by any nPartition. Blades and I/O bays that are unassigned are considered to be available resources; they can be assigned to any of the existing nPartitions, or can be used to create new nPartitions. You can assign a blade to an nPartition or unassign a blade from the nPartition using the parcreate or the parmodify commands.
