The console port is located on the front of the Switch 2824 and on the back of the Switch 2848. This connection is described under "Connect a Console to the Switch" in chapter 2, "Installing the Switch." The console can be a PC or workstation running a VT-100 terminal emulator, or a VT-100 terminal. Power Connector The Switch 2800 Series devices do not have a power switch; they are powered on when connected to an active AC power source. These switches automatically adjust to any voltage between 100--240 volts and either 50 or 60 Hz. No voltage range settings are required. 1-9
