To connect additional devices Connect additional devices in the order shown below. If you do not want to connect a device, skip it and continue to the next device. 3 The product is already connected to the phone jack. 4 To connect the internal modem on a computer, plug the computer's phone cord into the "phone" socket on the product. Note Some computers have a second "line" socket to connect the computer to a dedicated voice line. If you have two "line" sockets, check your computer documentation to make sure you connect to the correct "line" socket. 5 To connect an external modem, plug the modem's phone cord into the "phone" socket on the product (or on the internal modem). 6 To connect a caller ID box, plug the caller ID box phone cord into the "phone" socket on the product or on the last device you connected. To prepare the product for
additional devices

Unplug all of the additional devices
you want to connect from their
power sources.

Remove the plastic insert from the
“phone” socket on the back of the
product.
To connect additional devices
Connect additional devices in the order
shown below. If you do not want to
connect a device, skip it and continue to
the next device.

The product is already connected to
the phone jack.

To connect the internal modem on a
computer, plug the computer’s
phone cord into the “phone” socket
on the product.
Note
Some computers have a second “line”
socket to connect the computer to a
