Switch Options Descriptions and Requirements Zoning Licensing HP provides Zoning as a standard feature on its SAN and Core Fibre Channel switches. This means that the Zoning license is factory installed on each of these switches. You should ignore references in the product documentation to installing the Zoning license or to Zoning being an optionally purchased product. Remote Switch Overview and Limitations The Remote Switch fabric functions with the aid of a "bridging device" or network-bridge. The network-bridge supports both a Fibre Channel physical interface, as well as a secondary non-Fibre Channel FCIP physical interface.
