During this time, the green disk activity LED (A in Figure 2) will be flashing. The green (A) LED will also blink with I/O activity to the disk. See Table 1 for a full list of disk LED behaviors. The amber disk fault LED (B) will flash during an Auto Format process. The amber system fault LED will also flash. If you observe different results, further Troubleshooting may need to be carried out. (See Chapter 3 of the HP StorageWorks Virtual Arrays VA 7000 Family User's and Service Guide for troubleshooting procedures.)
