It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you follow the failures in the disk controller and mechanism. Look in the jukebox front "window" and make sure that there are no disks in any drive. Use the control panel to eject any disk still in a drive 2. Installing the Capacity Upgrade Caution Put on a grounding strap to work inside the outer shell of this jukebox. 1. Remove the left, right and back panels. Refer to Figures 1 and 2. Note The magazines come in sets of 8-slot magazines (4 sets) and 6-slot magazines (2 sets). Each magazine (set of cartridge slots) comes as two identical sides. To upgrade to a C1160F/G/H with 4 drives and 64 slots, a drive upgrade (C1154F/G/H) AND this capacity upgrade must be installed. the stack (the latch is the "angle"shown in the lower left of the picture). If this latch does not catch (click into place), the guide is not correctly mounted and could come out during use. 2. b. Remove the 6 T-20 screws on the controller PCA cover and lift the cover off. See Figure 6. Figure 6: Controller PCA - cover on c. Disconnect all cables from the controller PCA. See Figure 7 d. the serial number. Refer to Figure 8. The C1160 label is used when upgrading to the 4 drive / 64 slot jukebox. The C1170 label is used when upgrading to the 2 drive / 76 slot jukebox. Make sure the product number suffix (F, G, or H) matches the old product number suffix. the new model number nameplate over the current model number on the back center of the jukebox as illustrated in Figure 9.
