If replacing or adding a new expansion card, hold the card just above the expansion slot on the system board then move the card toward the rear of the chassis 1 so that the bottom of the bracket on the card slides into the small slot on the chassis. Gently press the card straight down into the expansion slot on the system board 2. Replacing or Adding an Expansion Card 6. While holding the expansion card bracket against the chassis, slide the slot cover lock down toward the expansion card bracket to secure it in place and replace the screw that secures the slot cover lock. 7. Connect the external cables to the installed card, if needed. Connect internal cables to the system board, if needed. 8. Replace the computer access panel and reconnect the power cable. ✎ When installing an expansion card, press firmly on the card so that the whole connector seats properly in the expansion card slot.
