Desktop and Go Menu Programs XFce Panel Bar By default, the panel bar appears at the bottom of the screen and includes the following features: ■ Go button: brings up the Go menu ■ active task buttons: for programs that are currently running ■ lock icon: locks the screen ■ audio icon: adjusts volume ■ clock: adjusts time and date By default, the panel bar is automatically displayed. However, the panel bar can be configured so that it is hidden by opening the XFce Panel dialog box under Settings and selecting the Auto hide check box. If the Auto hide check box is selected, you must move the pointer to the bottom of the screen to bring up the XFce panel bar. Icons The Linux-based thin client image does not support desktop icons.
