ITEMS NEEDED: Utility Knife Oil Funnel Unleaded Fuel ITEMS INCLUDED: Operator Manual (not shown) (a) Generator (b) 12V DC Charging Cable a Quick Start Guide 1800 Watt Portable Generator b 1 unpack generator (a) Remove inner packaging. (b) Lift unit out of carton. Prior to use, check to ensure that you have all the included items. If items are missing or damaged call 1-800-242-4672. 2 ADD FUEL AND CHECK ENGINE lubricant (a) Move generator outside to a flat, level surface. (b) Remove lubricant fill cap. Engine ships without lubricant. Use a funnel to add 18 oz. 4-cycle small engine lubricant 10W30 into the engine. Fill to the upper mark of the oil dipstick. Use caution to avoid spilling. Figure 1 (c) Remove fuel cap (see Figure 1) and fill with REGULAR UNLEADED fuel. Do not overfill. Keep maximum fuel level 1/4 inch below the top of the fuel tank. (d) Replace fuel cap. 3 move generator to safe operating location (a) Move generator outside to a flat, level surface, away from doors, windows and vents. 4 start generator Manual Starter Rope (a) Turn fuel valve to the ON position (see Figure 2). Fuel Valve ON/OFF (b) Move choke control lever fully to the right (see Figure 2). (c) Select the ON position on the engine ON/OFF switch (see Figure 2). (d) Start generator by slowly pulling on the starter rope handle (see Figure 2) until resistance is felt. Then pull cord rapidly to overcome compression to start engine. (b) Plug in items to be powered, using only grounded extension cords. (c) The included 12V DC Charging Cable plugs directly into the 12 Volt receptacle (see Figure 3). (c) Turn engine ON/OFF to OFF (see Figure 2). (d) Turn fuel valve to OFF (see Figure 2). (e) If generator is to be stored for longer than 30 days, refer to the operator's manual for further instructions.
