NS-DSC10SL Insignia 10 Megapixel Camera Resetting your camera to factory defaults Use the Factory Reset function to reset your camera to its factory settings. The following settings cannot be reset: • Date and time • Language • Optical zoom status To reset your camera to factory defaults: 1 Slide the (mode slider) to (Photo mode) or (Video mode). 2 Press M . The on-screen menu opens. 3 Make sure that Simple mode is turned off. See "Turning Simple mode on or off" on page 9. 4 Press or to highlight . The tools menu opens. 5 Press or to highlight Factory Reset, then press or SET. Connecting your camera to a computer Caution Do not change the folder or file names on a memory card using a computer. If you do, you may not be able to play back the files using your camera. You can transfer photos, videos, and audio files to your computer. You can transfer photos, videos, and audio files to
your computer.
To connect your camera to a computer:

Connect your camera to a computer using the

Understanding folder and file names
Your camera automatically creates a directory of
folders in the internal memory or on a memory
card. It uses these folders to organize still images,
videos, and other information.
Folder structure
All image and video files can be found in the main
DCIM folder. Subfolder names begin with a
three-digit number, followed by “DICAM.” If new
files are created, a new folder named in sequence
will be made automatically.
Note
Activating Factory Reset mode will not erase any of
