RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DOCUMENT SIZE AND MAGNIFICATION ■ RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DOCUMENT SIZE AND MAGNIFICATION The relationship between the document size and applicable reduction size is shown below. If, therefore, AUTO is selected with the Reduction Ratio Select Key and Frame Size Select Key, the reduction ratio and frame size are automatically determined according to the size of the document to be filmed. Reduction Ratio 1/25 1/32 Frame Size Double 18.2 mm x 12.6 mm (23/32") (1/2") Single 9.7 mm x 12.6 mm Single 9.7 mm x 12.6 mm Document Size Filming Area (on Copy Board) A3 or smaller 432 mm x 297 mm (17" x 11") (17") (11-11/16") 455 mm x 315 mm (17-29/32") (12-13/32") A4 or smaller 216 mm x 297 mm (11" x 8-1/2") (11-11/16") 242.5 mm x 315 mm (9-17/32") (12-13/32") Legal 216 mm x 356 mm (8-1/2") (14") 310.5 mm x 403.2 mm (12-9/32") (15-7/8") NOTES • When filming a document of irregular size, manually select the reduction ratio and frame size. • The minimum size of document acceptable for auto-exposure filming is 95 mm x 170 mm or 3-3/4" x 6-11/16. ■ Placement of Documents of Different Sizes • In DR1600MKII, place the document face up on the Copy Board with its heading or top edge in the rear of the machine and with its front left corner placed tight up against the " " mark on the Board. ❑ Document Size (Copy Board) ❑ Frame Size (Film) 15
