3. Creating and executing the package The following describes the creation and execution of the package. The package is created by adding the operations of "Add Printer", "Update Driver", and "Delete Driver" to the list of operations. The created package is saved in EXE file. 3-1. Creating printer driver additional package The following describes the procedure to be followed when creating a package that includes the "Add Printer" operation. This package is created when a new printer driver is installed in a computer to which the package is distributed. The printer driver must be installed in advance in the computer on which the Driver Packaging Utility is to be used. (1) Start Driver Packaging Utility. (2) On the main screen, click [File] - [New Package] in that order. (3) On the main screen, click [Edit] - [Add Printer] in that order. (4) Select the printer to be added from List for Add Printer and click [OK]. 27

3. Creating and executing the package
The following describes the creation and execution of the package.
The package is created by adding the operations of "Add Printer", "Update Driver", and "Delete Driver" to
the list of operations. The created package is saved in EXE file.
3-1. Creating printer driver additional package
The following describes the procedure to be followed when creating a package that includes the "Add
Printer" operation. This package is created when a new printer driver is installed in a computer to which
the package is distributed.
The printer driver must be installed in advance in the computer on which the Driver Packaging Utility is to
be used.
(1) Start Driver Packaging Utility.
(2) On the main screen, click [File] - [New Package] in that order.
(3) On the main screen, click [Edit] - [Add Printer] in that order.
(4) Select the printer to be added from List for Add Printer and click [OK].
