Bonjour Macintosh network technology for automatically detecting devices connected to the network and for specifying settings. Previously called "Rendezvous", the name was changed to "Bonjour" starting with Mac OS X v10.4. BOOTP BOOTP (Bootstrap Protocol) is an Internet protocol that enables a diskless workstation to discover (1) its own IP address, (2) the IP address of a BOOTP server on the network, and (3) a file that can be loaded into memory to boot the workstation.
