Selecting the Printer Settings e-MPS Function The e-MPS is an abbreviation for enhanced-Multiple Printing System which implements the following functions that are available from the printer driver: The following settings are available: • Printing a Quick Copy • Using Proof-and-Hold • Printing a Private Print/Stored Job • Retrieving Jobs from Virtual Mailbox (VMB) • Printing a List of Virtual Mailbox (VMB) • Printing a List of Code Jobs • Changing e-MPS Configuration Important! • To use the e-MPS functions, the optional Hard Disk must be installed. For details on e-MPS, refer to the Printer Driver User Guide. • If the RAM Disk is switched On, the e-MPS function can still be used for proof-and-hold jobs, private print jobs, and printing a list of code jobs. Refer to Activating the RAM Disk on page 2-34. Printing a Quick Copy This mode enables you to print the requested number of copies of a job, simultaneously storing the job on the hard disk/RAM disk. When additional copies are required, you can reprint the required number of copies from the printer operator panel. The default number of print jobs that can be stored on the hard disk is 32. This value can be increased to up to 50 from the configuration menu. Important! • When the number of jobs reaches the limit, the oldest job will be overwritten by the new one. • When the printer is turned off, all stored jobs will be deleted. 1 Press the [Printer] key. Printing a Quick Copy
This mode enables you to print the requested number of copies of a job, simultaneously storing the
job on the hard disk/RAM disk. When additional copies are required, you can reprint the required
number of copies from the printer operator panel.
The default number of print jobs that can be stored on the hard disk is 32. This value can be
increased to up to 50 from the configuration menu.
Important!
When the number of jobs reaches the limit, the oldest job will be overwritten by the new one.
When the printer is turned off, all stored jobs will be deleted.
